Our crazy two weeks of competitions have now drawn to a close. First up was our Aspire Group of divers that headed to London Ontario for their first competition of the season. Led by coach Mary, the Ottawa National Diving Club brought four of its divers to the FCDC Invitational competition.

For Natalie Clarke, 14, and Emilie Kelly, 10, it was their very first competition in the sport of diving. They both demonstrated great skill and determination leading both of them to podium finishes over the weekend. Natalie earned a SILVER MEDAL on her 3m event in a group of 7 divers and Emilie earned her BRONZE MEDAL on the 1m event in a field of 18 divers. A huge congratulations on your very first competition Natalie and Emilie! I hope there are many more where that came from

For Caelly Nordman and Taylor Randall, it is their second competitive season with the ONDC! Taylor had a great weekend earning 3 top 6 finishes including a BRONZE MEDAL on her tower event. Caelly showed stellar performances across all events earning a GOLD MEDAL on 1m, a SILVER MEDAL on 3m and a BRONZE MEDAL on tower! Your hard work is finally paying off Caelly! Congratulations Taylor and Caelly on a great weekend!

A big thank you to the Forest City Diving Club for hosting an excellent competition and what we believe is the biggest Aspire Level competition to date! It is great to see our sport of diving grow! Now to continue to work hard and prepare for the KW Diving Classic competition coming up on March24/25 weekend.

Stay tuned 🙂
