Congratulations to our Tier I Team for a job well done at Provincials.  Brennan broke the Ontario record in the Men’s  Open Platform with a score of 318.60,  Paige placed 2nd in the Women’s 3M open and qualified for Senior Nationals, and Zoe placed 2nd in Ontario in the girls D 3M event.  Click for detailed SCORES.

Now it’s back to the boards to prepare for Nationals in July.

Our Tier II team is getting ready for their Provincial meet which will be held in Waterloo Ontario June 19-20.  Good luck divers! And have FUN!

The 2010 Ontario Provincial Tier 1 Junior Championships will  be being held in Ottawa this year at the Nepean Sportsplex.  Please come and watch our tier 1 divers compete May 28, 29 & 30.

IMG_0222Halifax was an overallIMG_0225 success for the team.  All of our competitive kids are fully qualified to compete at Junior Nationals in Winnipeg in July.  Good work everyone.  Paige Sawyer received her first qualifying score on tower for the Senior Nationals.  Congratulations Paige! And Brennan had an excellent meet, with a full sweep, bringing home 5 gold medals. Bravo Brennan!

The kids still found time for a little fun with a trip to IMG_0238the Citadel and few chilly walks by the wharf.  And we can’t forget, riding in style to the airport!

Now it’s back to work preparing for Provincials at the end of May.

ATTENTION!!! ONDC will be offering a SPRING BREAK CAMP for registered Learn to DIVE students and competitive team members only.  Camp will be held Tuesday – Thursday March 16-18 from 7:45 until 11:00 am at the Nepean Sportsplex.  The camp is being run on a drop in basis at $15 per day.  We’d love to have you join us!

thegirlsThe last weekend in February was the Level 1 Forest City Invitational it was a Group 2 Jr. National Qualifier & Sr. National Qualifier.  The kids did great. It was the 1st time qualifying for our D division girls, Wayquay took bronze on 1 meter and achieved her first national standard score. Zoe placed 4th on 3 meter achieving her first national standard score and Katherine won bronze on 1 meter and silver on 3 meter  achieving her first national standard score in both events.  Excellent work ladies!

Brennan and Paige also did well. Paige came home with 2 bronze medals in the women’s B division events and placed 4th in the women’s 1 meter open event.  Brennan came home with a gold and a silver from the men’s A division events,  the men’s A one meter was canceled, and 2 gold and a bronze medal from the men’s open events.  All in all it was an excellent weekend for our Tier 1 competitive team, congratulations to you all.  Now it’s back to the boards to prepare for the John Dickinson Invitational in March.

A big round of applause for our tier 1 and tier 2 team members for doing a fantastic job at this years Dive-a-Thon!!! The kids performed over 100 dives each and raised $2721.00!!! This money is earmarked for much needed dryland training equipment.  Also for collecting the most donations Hannah was presented with the prize of a new microfibre Tube Towel.  Good job Hannah!!  CLICK for photos.

Last nights AGM went smoothly.  Thank you to all the parents for taking the time to attend.

Everyone has worked hard and here is where we hope to see the pay off.
Brennan, Paige  and Dillon left this morning for the CAMO Invitational (Dec. 3-6),
and all of our competitive team members plan compete this year at the Nepean Ottawa Invitational (Dec. 11-13).

Congratulations Brennan!

We are proud to announce that Brennan Villemaire will be a recipient of the “QUEST FOR GOLD” funds for the 2009/10 season based on his excellent performance in the 2008/09 season!

We are also very pleased that Brennan will be representing ONDC and the diving community on October 21st at the “Breakfast of Champions” fundraising event for Cystic Fybosis.

Excited to be Starting the 2009-2010 Season

ONDC is excited to be starting the new season! We have several LEARN TO DIVE classes happening across Ottawa, including a new class we are now able to offer at the Nepean Sportsplex on Saturdays.

We are also very excited to be able to offer ADULT DIVING to anyone over 18 who is looking to get into diving or to just brush up on technique.

Our PRE-COMPETITIVE group is looking fantastic and we are hoping to have them “get their feet wet” at a few smaller competitions this year.

Register NowOur COMPETITIVE TEAM is off to a great start, after having had the opportunity to work hard over the summer at our DIVING CAMPS and to fine tune some of their techniques with Holly our new trampoline coach during our conditioning camp we are certain all our team members are heading for a terrific year!
